01Using Check
These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Krit Sinha, the operator of Check (“Check”, “we”, “us”). They apply to joincheck.app, the Check apps for iPhone and Mac, and our account, sync and connected-tool services.
By creating an account or using Check after being presented with these terms, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
You must be at least 13 and meet any higher minimum age required by the laws where you live. If you are not old enough to enter this agreement independently, you must have a parent or guardian's permission where the law allows it. If you use Check for an organization, you must be authorized to agree on its behalf.
02Your account and sign-in
Provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in methods secure. You are responsible for activity you authorize on your account. Do not share passwords, sign-in codes or access tokens. Contact support@joincheck.app if you suspect unauthorized access.
You may sign in with email or, when available, choose Google or Apple. Those providers authenticate you under their own terms and policies. You authorize Check to receive and use the basic identity information described in our Privacy Policy to create or access your Check account. Check never asks for your Google or Apple password.
Apple's Hide My Email is supported when Apple sign-in is available. Keep access to the email or relay address associated with your account for essential messages. If you revoke a provider's authorization or lose access to it, that sign-in method may stop working. Revoking provider access does not itself delete your Check account or workspace.
03Your content
You retain ownership of the tasks, notes, lists and other content you add to Check. You grant us a limited license to store, process, transmit and display that content only as needed to operate the service, sync your devices and carry out actions you authorize. This license ends when your content is deleted, except for limited retention explained in our Privacy Policy.
You must have the rights needed to upload your content. Do not add unlawful content or information that violates another person's rights. You are responsible for the content you enter and for keeping a separate copy of information you cannot afford to lose.
04Acceptable use
You may use Check for lawful personal or organizational task management. You must not:
- Access another person's account or data without permission, or bypass authentication or access controls.
- Distribute malware, disrupt the service, overload its infrastructure, or misuse its APIs.
- Use Check for fraud, harassment, unlawful surveillance, or other illegal activity.
- Copy, resell or misrepresent the Check service or branding without permission, except where applicable law allows it.
We may restrict activity that threatens the security, reliability or lawful operation of the service.
05Connected tools
You can choose to connect an MCP client, AI assistant or other supported service. A connection can let that service read task and list information and create, edit, complete or delete items using the available tools. Only authorize services you trust, and review the permissions and the other service's terms and privacy policy.
You are responsible for instructions you give a connected service and for reviewing its actions. Automated tools can make mistakes. You can disconnect Check through that service and contact us for help revoking access. Information already received by a third party remains subject to its policies.
06Purchases
If you buy Check or a paid feature, the price, included features and any applicable purchase conditions will be shown before you buy. Check's advertised purchase model is a one-time purchase, not a recurring subscription. We will not enroll you in recurring billing without your separate agreement.
Purchases through an app store are also subject to that store's payment and refund rules. Mandatory consumer rights remain in effect. A one-time purchase does not promise that every future product or optional feature is included, or that a hosted service will operate indefinitely. We will describe what is included at purchase.
07Availability and reminders
We work to keep Check reliable, but features can change and the service may be interrupted for maintenance, network problems or events outside our control. Beta or preview features may be incomplete.
Sync and reminders depend on factors including connectivity, device settings, permissions and operating-system behavior. Browser notifications require Check to be open in a tab. Alerts, alarms and sync can be delayed or fail; Check should not be your only system for emergencies or other critical obligations.
If we discontinue a material part of the service, we will provide reasonable notice and an opportunity to request a copy of your data where practical and required by law.
08Ending your use
You can stop using Check at any time. To request deletion of your account and associated information, email support@joincheck.app from, or identify, the email associated with your account. We may verify ownership. Retention and deletion are explained in our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate access for a material breach of these terms, serious security or abuse risks, or legal requirements. Where reasonable, we will explain the reason and give you an opportunity to resolve the issue. Immediate action may be necessary to protect users or the service.
Signing out, uninstalling Check or removing Google or Apple authorization does not itself delete your account. Account deletion also does not automatically create a refund for a prior purchase; applicable purchase terms and consumer rights still apply.
09Intellectual property
Check's software, design, branding and service materials belong to Krit Sinha or their respective licensors. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Check for its intended purpose while you comply with these terms and applicable purchase conditions. Third-party and open-source components remain subject to their own licenses.
Google and Apple names and marks belong to their respective owners. Offering their sign-in methods does not imply that they sponsor or endorse Check.
10Responsibility and your rights
To the extent permitted by law, Check is provided “as is” and “as available”, without a guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for every purpose. To that same extent, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability or warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer protections or liability for fraud or willful misconduct. Any rights you have under the laws applicable to you remain available.
If a provision cannot be enforced, the rest of the terms will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
11Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the service evolves. We will update the date above and give notice of material changes through Check or by email where appropriate. Changes apply prospectively. Where the law requires your agreement, we will ask for it. You may stop using Check if you do not accept an update.
For questions, support or a dispute, contact Krit Sinha at support@joincheck.app. We will try to resolve the matter directly. These terms do not prevent you from exercising any mandatory right to contact a regulator or bring a claim in a competent court.
